Evelyn C Brown on Fire
16x20 oil on canvas inspired by the Evelyn C Brown fire the night of October 19, 1958. The dragger schooner was 800 miles from Gloucester MA and sunk hours after October 21, 1958. In honor of Joseph P Mitchell engineer and the rest of the 9 "seamen" that survived the shipwreck and was rescued 36 hours after by the FV Flow.
